The Handicap Committee at the Kachin Golf Association of America oversees the administration of the KGA Handicap Ranking on a national scale. Its primary responsibilities include ensuring fairness through handicap evaluations before and after KGA Major Tournaments, regional major tournaments, and significant local tournaments, educating members about scoring regulations, and managing score compliance in line with KGA Rules and Regulations.
Key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

-Handicap Reviews: Conduct review of player's major tournaments scoring records to ensure that a member's Handicap Index accurately reflects their true ability, making necessary upward or downward adjustments in conjunction with local KGA's Handicap Committee Member

-Education & Communication: Educate KGA members on the correct posting of scores, encourage peer reviews, and clarify handicap calculations or competition terms.

 

-Score Integrity & Penalties: Oversee the timely submission of scores and impose penalty scores if a player fails to submit an acceptable score.
